Tom Kennedy Owner/Funeral Director tom@stephens-key.com

Tom graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1996 with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.  He is also a 1998 graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor degree in Mortuary Science.  He married Hayden (Graham) Kennedy in 2003.  They have two lovely boys, Graham and Brody.  After selling his funeral homes in the Tulsa area, Tom has focused his attention on Pryor and the surrounding communities.  Tom loves Pryor and is excited to serve your needs!

Hayden Kennedy Owner

Hayden graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor degree in Communications in 2002.  She married Tom Kennedy in 2003.  She and Tom are the proud parents of Graham and Brody.  Hayden is honored to serve our community.

Rick & Gloria Stephens Founders rick@stephens-key.com

Rick and Gloria established Stephens Memorial Chapel in 1996.  They have 3 daughters, Amy, Stacy and Abby and four grandchildren, Heaven, Colby, Cameron and Addison. Rick has an extensive career in law enforcement, is a 1975 graduate of Pryor High School, and a 1987 graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.  Gloria is an avid gardener and decorator.  She also enjoys many outdoor activities.

With a career spanning over twenty years, Shane has been an integral part of Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care since 2003, where he serves as FDIC.  A University of Central Oklahoma graduate, Shane holds many professional licenses and certifications specific to the funeral industry.  Away from the office, he enjoys a broad spectrum of hobbies, especially weight training.

Buddy West Funeral Assistant

After graduating from Pryor High School Buddy attended NEO A&M and Northeastern State University. As a lifelong resident of Mayes County, he has worked in the Cattle Industry, as a Rancher, for most of his life. Buddy married Bekki Hufford in 1970 at Nowata, Oklahoma. They have two daughters, Emily McIntosh and Molly Gordon. After retiring from ranching, Buddy began working at Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Bekki West Visitation Assistant

Bekki is a graduate of Nowata High School.  She attended NEO A&M and earned a B.S. Degree in Education from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Bekki was married to Buddy West in 1970 and they have made Mayes County their home.  They have 2 daughters, Emily McIntosh and Molly Gordon. After retiring in 2010 from a forty year career in education, she began working for Stephens Memorial Chapel.

Daniel Thompson Funeral Assistant

Daniel and wife Angela reside in Pryor, OK. A native of Oregon, graduating from Jefferson High School in Portland in 1991. Has two adult children, a daughter Amanda age 20 and a son Austin age 18 who reside in Portland, OR. Married Angela Stafford on June 30, 2011 and together they share four step-daughters. A Gulf War Veteran serving in the U.S. Army (1991-1994) as an Artilleryman, and is a  member of the Mayes County Disabled American Veterans.
